As a multidisciplinary practitioner, Anthea ensures systems work together for people and for institutions to optimize governance, strategic planning and leadership frameworks to develop pathways for empowerment & transformation.

She views capacity building as “development” that helps big and

small organizations to gain skills, gather knowledge, develop tools and garner resources to achieve better results.

Her

extensive community engagement practice integrates coalition building, asset building and resource development to uncover hidden collective potential.

Over the years, Anthea’s work focused on:

  • CROSS-SYSTEMS FACILITATION, STRATEGIC PLANNING AND ADVOCACY to inspire multi-sector reform and public private partnerships in child welfare, education, youth development and other related sectors. and to develop multidisciplinary networks to reduce duplication and maximize resources.

  • PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & QUALITATIVE RESEARCH to inform planning and implementation using evidence-informed interventions, reflective of needs and assets of families and communities, particularly in the areas of early care & education, family support, school-community partnerships, environmental sustainability, and philanthropy.

  • BESPOKE TRAINNG & CAPACITY BUILDING to provide tailored approaches to people and organizations by working collaboratively to improve individual decision-making and/or organizational effectiveness, strategic thinking & approaches using highly iterative multidisciplinary processes and sharing best practice solution-based approaches.

CURRENT PRACTICE

Anthea McLaughlin continues to work across disciplines, and initiates new projects, products and solutions and promotes innovative growth mindsets and industry trends for her clients – individuals, public/private institutions & communities.

Her elevated organizational practice reflects today’s realities by combining human centered strategies that integrate the needs of people, the potential of emerging technologies, and the principles of inclusion and diversity for organizations to move from challenge to innovation.

She emphasizes the importance of workplace mentorship to deliver high levels of employee engagement, student mentorship to achieve highly skilled employment with exposure to dynamic work place demands and future proofing for all - women and men to build their adaptive skills and maximize the limitless decentralized world of opportunities

Anthea partners with multiple organizations, and recently co-founded IEO Lab, a global organization to explore strategies to close the skills gap for higher education students entering the world of work while simultaneously co-facilitating a women entrepreneurship training programme to empower women in need of reskilling and upskilling to tackle emerging employment demands and financial challenges .

She is a strong advocate for continuous learning and improvement for individuals and their communities to succeed.
